Brainstorming Workshop on draft of India's Technology Vision 2047

Technology Vision (TV 47)
- TIFAC (https://tifac.org.in/) in India is an institute of high reputation.
- TIFAC (Technology Information Forecasting and Assessment Council) is an autonomous organization set up in 1988 by the government of India under the Department of Science & Technology.
- TIFAC is responsible for looking forward and setting the vision for the areas of technology, safety, security etc.
- The organization is the Government of India’s think tank.
- PanIIT Europe Alumni association has a strong collaboration with TIFAC.
About the Brainstorming Workshops
- TIFAC, is into the process of drawing and drafting TV 2047 for India, would be happy and privileged in having the participation and support of Indian Diaspora.
- TIFAC alongwith PanIIT Europe wants to carry out brainstorming workshops with Indian diaspora in identifying Technologies (Futuristic and Advanced), with reference to India’s need.
- TIFAC has initiated discussion with Indian Diaspora to understand their view about India’s technology developmental perspective. Both virtual and physical consultation mode might be needed to capture thoughts of India’s diaspora.
- TIFAC has already organized nine Brainstorming workshops at IIT-Bombay, IIT-Delhi, IIT-Guwahati, IIT-Hyderabad, IIT-Kharagpur, Banaras Hindu University, TIFR Mumbai, IISc Bangalore and Gujarat Council of Science and Technology
- Now, along with the Inaugural Conference, PANIIT Europe will facilitate separate 3-4 sessions for consultation and discussions with experts of TIFAC on the topics of Technology Vision of India 2047, which will focus on:
- Food and nutritional security,
- Energy security,
- Environment security,
- Cyber security,
- Health security and
- Strategic sectoral security, among the major topics.
- Experts within and outside the IIT professionals’ community will be engaged and will exchange information with TIFAC.
Workshop Approach
- The TV ’47 validation with Indian Diaspora will follow a multi-step approach in order to create a meaningful engagement with the particiants
